At Central Scotland Police we’re constantly looking for dynamic and enthusiastic people to join us in policing the heart of Scotland. Our Transferees bring us valuable experience and knowledge. We welcome applications from officers currently serving with another UK Force, and who offer at least three years’ operational experience.
Recruitment Process
The recruitment process for our Transferees mirrors that of other applicants at the Constable rank, with the exception of the Standard Entrance Test, from which Transferees are exempt. The transfer of officers at rank will mirror the process for promotion to that rank within the Force.
Training
As a successful Transferee, you won’t be required to complete a probationary period. Instead, training commences with an Induction Course held at our Force Headquarters in Stirling.
Officers transferring from Forces outside of Scotland benefit from a two week course at the Scottish Police College. The course familiarises our Transferees with Scottish law and other procedures unique to Scotland. This is followed by a local training course, also lasting two weeks.
